What nutrients do we get from mushrooms?

Mushroom are such a nutritious food and I know most people are not aware of it, we will continue to educate people in Zimbabwe and beyond. We get Niacin (vitamin B3) , Riboflavin (vitamin B2), Folate, Phosphorus, Iron, Panthothenic Acid (vitamin B5), Zinc, Potassium, Copper, Magnesium, Vitamin B6, Selenium, Thiamin (vitamin B1). Mushrooms are low in calories, carbohydrates, fat and sodium, just like watermelons, they are very high in water content (about 90%) and fibre which makes them a great diet food! There is no reason why you can’t have nutritious food because we deliver mushroom all across Harare, and in particular the CBD where we deliver mushrooms right into your office or work place. Even if you order one unit we will deliver. Deliveries are done Monday to Saturday. Mushrooms are delicious and healthy too. Why do you think?

My mushroom story: Korean experiences

As Mushtella will be celebrating its 10th year anniversary in 2013 I will be posting photos from the past years, the good and the bad experiences but what I love about all is all experiences have been necessary to make me an expert in the industry.
2004: I attended the Meeting of far east Asia for collaboration of edible Fungi research and after the conference I received training I’m mushroom growing. I was humbled by the massive tunnel used to grow mushrooms above that, state of the art equipment used in the growing systems was quite an experience which is way too advanced for the Zimbabwe industry.  Todays mushroom growers tip: record keeping

It is very important for mushroom growers to keep records starting with source of substrate to the day of harvesting. Temperature management is crucial, just recording dates when innoculation, pin initiation, pinning and harvesting dates will enable a grower to be always alert. A grower can predict challenges before they occur when they keep records for instance a grower should know what happens in winter and how to prepare for it before any challenges occur. Whatever you do keep records and if yo need help with measuring instruments call us.
